Woodland Tent Sites

Back to basics, baby. Tucked into the trees, these sites give you maximum shade, total privacy, and all the quiet wilderness vibes you could want. Perfect for introverts, pale friends, and anyone who wants to pretend they’re deep in the woods—while staying a 3-minute walk from a cold glass of Rosé.

Vineyard Tent Sites

Roughing it, but make it boutique. Pitch your tent right on the edge of the vines, light the campfire, and take in the views. It’s primitive camping with front-row seats to the sunset, perfect for pretending you’re a high-society winemaker testing out the crops.

Glamping

Look Ma, no back pain! Hey, we love nature—we just also love real mattresses, soft pillows, and not playing "guess that mystery bug" at 3:00 AM. Our luxury glamping sites (brought to you by the geniuses at Get InTents) are fully set up and ready to roll. You just show up, grab a cold glass from the tasting room, kick back by the fire,and pretend you're a rugged outdoorsperson. We won't tell.

Wild Mountain sits at one of the best outdoor recreation crossroads in the Upper Midwest. Your campsite is literally the starting line.

  • Interstate State Park — One of Minnesota's oldest state parks, right next door. Trails, cliffs, glacial potholes, and the kind of views that make your phone camera feel inadequate.
  • St. Croix River — Canoe it, kayak it, fish it, or just sit on the bank and watch it go by. The river doesn't care — it's been here longer than all of us.
  • Taylors Falls — A charming small town with local shops, a classic diner, and people who still wave at strangers. Just five minutes away.
  • Wild Mountain Ski & Activity Park — Same name, different spot just up the road. Offers seasonal activities, an alpine slide, and a waterpark — check their site for what's running when you visit.

We like to keep things relaxed around here, which only works if everyone plays by a few simple rules:

Our tent sites are walk-in only to keep the camping areas peaceful, quiet, and vehicle-free! We provide free gear carts near the parking area so you can easily shlep your cooler, tent, and gear straight to your spot. If you can't live without drive-up convenience (or your tent needs an outlet), grab an RV site.

Buy Firewood Here (Save $7,500)


MN state law prohibits bringing in outside hardwood firewood to protect our trees from invasive bugs. Violations carry up to a $7,500 daily fine—so grab certified firewood directly at the winery and keep your bail money in your wallet! Firewood is $8.00 + tax.

No Outside Booze


Just like you can’t bring your own drinks into a bar, state liquor laws treat our entire property—campground included—as a licensed venue, meaning no outside alcohol is allowed on site. But don't worry, we won't let you go thirsty! Since we make the wine right here, you can stop by the tasting room to grab off-sale bottles, cold cans, and slushies to enjoy right around your campfire.

  • What are the campground hours?

     The campground is seasonal — we typically open in late spring and close in the fall. Exact dates vary year to year based on conditions (and our own enthusiasm for the cold). Check availability or give us a call at 763-297-1322 for current season dates before you plan your trip.  

  • When is Check-In / Check-Out?

    For Tent and RV Sites:

    Saturday - Thursday

    For Glamping Sites and The A-Frame:

  • Can I bring my RV or trailer?

     Yes! We accommodate RVs and trailers at select sites. Give us a call at 763-297-1322 to confirm site dimensions and availability for your rig — we'd rather answer that question over the phone than have you arrive with something that doesn't fit.  

  • Are campfires allowed?

    Yes, campfires are allowed at designated fire rings on your site. Please follow all local fire ordinances and use common sense — don't leave a fire unattended, and maybe don't try to roast your entire grocery haul at once. Firewood is must be purchase on-site and is available for $8.00 + tax.

  • Can I cook over the campfire?

    Absolutely. Each site features a dedicated fire ring with an attached cooking grate and a fire poker. Just bring your food, your appetite, and a sense of adventure.

  • What about mosquitoes?

    Oh, they're here. This is Minnesota. They have been here longer than us and they will outlast us all. Pack bug spray, bring a citronella candle if it makes you feel better, and consider the mosquitoes part of the authentic outdoor experience. The wine helps.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome! Please clean up after them and make sure they're comfortable around other campers and the general chaos of a campground weekend. Our grapes are off-limits to all non-human visitors.

  • Is the tasting room open while I'm camping?

    Yes — the winery tasting room is open year-round, which means even if you're here on a shoulder-season glamping trip, you're never far from a glass of something good. Check the winery page for current hours.

  • Does the tasting room have a dress code?

    Only if "please wear clothes" counts as a code. Seriously, we’re a winery, not a country club. Whether you’re rocking your favorite cozy flannel, covered in dirt from hiking at Interstate State Park, or somehow showing up in a giant dinosaur onesie—you are welcome here.


    Come as you are, get comfortable, and leave the fancy stuff at home. (Though if you do decide to wear a full tuxedo, we fully expect you to commit to the bit).

  • Can I bring in outside alcohol?

    No, because of our state winery license, all alcohol consumed on the property must be purchased directly from our tasting room. No BYOB in the campsites, but don't worry—we’ve got plenty of wine, cider, and slushies waiting for you!

  • Are there Quiet Hours?

    Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Sound travels fast in the valley. After 10 PM, keep the music low, the voices cozy, and the late-night stargazing quiet.

  • Is there trash and recycling?

    Leave your site better than you found it. Trash and recycling stations are located near the main loop—please pack out everything you pack in.
